So it came to pass that Zora was taking one of her daily strolls, as she so very enjoyed doing. The day was sunny and warm, just the kind of day she enjoyed. However, she felt that today might just be different from the rest of the sunny and warm days she had seen. Maybe it was the position of the sun. Maybe it was the air quality that day. But Zora could feel that there was something different about the day as she walked. She didn't know what it was, but she desperately wanted to, as this feeling was strange. She continued to walk nonetheless.

Esaul looked at the city below from a high skyscraper. The business that he was working for was one of the biggest in the industry, hence the gigantic structure. The order for the next assassination had not arrived yet, although he was expecting it to come very soon. The city had an exhilarating look from up high like this.

Zora paced along quickly. Though she wanted to rest, her feet kept moving, as if she was being pulled by a magnetic force. She found that she couldn't stop, and she didn't know where she was being drawn to. She finally was able to stop in front of a huge building. "This isn't right... All I wanted to do was go to the marketplace like I always do... How'd I end up here?" she asked herself, distancing herself from the strange building and sitting down to rest. She looked up at the roof of the building, and swore she saw a familiar figure move. "It couldn't be... Could it? It looked exactly like his figure, but... No... Everyone said he was dead..." she muttered sadly.

Esaul smirked. The orders had just come in, with a description of the girl that had just appeared at the building. He crouched down, getting a good I.D. of the girl, before turning back and descending down an elevator. He quickly went to his provided housing facility, changing his current outfit to his trademark leather jacket and undershirt. Smiling at his appearance, he grabbed Spirit and went down the the ground floor.

Zora sighed sadly. She knew he was dead, but she also knew that it was HIS figure she'd seen on that rooftop. She continued to sit there, confused about what she had seen. "Could it have really been him? The only one I ever loved... No... Everyone knows he's dead, no questions... But still, I'd know that figure anywhere... Even after two years..." she muttered quietly. Then she sensed it. She was in danger, she could feel it in the air. Her hands automatically went to the hilt of a broadsword strapped to her back, and she pulled it out of the sheath.

Esaul had sidled out of the business, seemingly unnoticed. The girl was right there, and the guards were nowhere to be seen. It was an unpopulated street. Perfect. He smirked, before dashing and slicing Spirit towards the girl.

Zora felt a presense rushing up behind her, and she whipped around, her sword connecting with that of the attacker. Then she stopped everything but blocking the full slash. She felt tears burning in the back of her eyes. The figure she saw in front of her, it was unmistakably him. The one everyone said had died in the accident. She was in shock. "...Oh my God..." she whispered, letting a lone tear fall from her face.

At that moment, Esaul realized who exactly it was that he had attacked. He lowered the sword shamefully, not taking his eyes off of the one he had loved so long ago. It couldn't be. But it was. The same red hair, the same purple shirt, the valuable necklace he had given to her. "Zora..." He muttered absently.

Zora lowered her blade shakily. She couldn't believe it. Two years, two long years since she had seen him last, and now they were reunited. She stared at him, in disbelief, happiness and confusion. "...Oh my God..." she repeated, "Esaul... Could it really be you...?" she was shaking now, out of uncertainty and shock.

Esaul sheathed Spirit, still not taking his eyes off of Zora. The last time he had seen her, he had been but a lonely kid. Now, at seventeen, he was seeing her yet again. It was overwhelming. "It's me...The only one..." He said as shakily as her.
