Of all of the possible reactions that Lord Deco could have foreseen, this had not been one of them. The force of Makoa's blast sent bits of dark eco flying in all directions, each one condensing itself once more into a liquid state before falling like rain back down to the ground. As soon as each tiny droplet made contact with the earth, however, they began to move and gather into one central point. Slowly they merged and built, taking on a roughly human shape. A roar of both pain and unbridled rage split the air like a knife as Lord Deco's mouth finally formed. His eyes burst open, burning like the very deepest pits of hell itself. Waves of darkness pulsed from his now completely regenerated figure, banishing the remaining traces of white energy that hung in the air after Makoa's devastating attack. "How dare you!? You Vermin!" His voiced now etched with uncontrollable fury. He was at a complete loss to recall anyone ever having caused him so much pain. "All that you have accomplished is to ensure your own suffering before I take your miserable life! You shall beg for death before end!" The waves of darkness intensified, warping and twisting everything in their path. The grass, starting from the spot upon which Deco stood and slowly spreading outwards, began to shrivel and die. The trees that surrounded the laboratory began to shift and bend as the wave reached them. Leaves fell to the ground, dried and fragile, while the trees twisted away as if trying to escape the agony. Even the moss that had begun to cover the sides of the old building was burned away by Deco's ever rising power. The landscape now resembled something from ones darkest nightmares. "And now..." Lord Deco said menacingly, charging dark eco into both of his hands and advancing towards Makoa. "It is your turn."

Makoa's skin had only just begun to heal, his arm and deep torso wounds only just begining to knit back together when the furocious cry rose up and trembled the very ground with its volume. What sort of Hellspawn is this that plagues me? Makoa began to question his ability to defeat such an awesome foe. But death was not his wish either. He may wish for silence, for nothingness, but something in his soul had a need to exist, to live. "Deco... you will not end me," Makoa said as Deco's form closed on him, the promise of death in his eyes. With a sharp intake of air, Makoa raise his white eco sheild, poised for flight if necessary. He had no way of gauging Deco's strength, or how close he was to defeat. Arm ablaze like a shining blade of retribution, sparking energy burning and swirling off it stretching out two ft from his hand. He hovered just above the ground, anticipating the next blow.

Lord Deco watched on with amusement as Makoa once more prepared for battle. "Even in your current state, you would still defy me?" He laughed sadistically, blazing with dark energy. "Your resolve is wasted... and so shall be your miserable life." He took another step forward, drawing back one energy encased hand. Then, with every molecule in his body working in perfect unison, he slammed his massive fist downward onto Makoa's shield with enough force to topple a sky scraper. The very ground upon which they stood was ripped apart by the shock wave that the blow had produced. Lord Deco grinned insanely. This toy of a shield could not last forever. "Come! You called me here to fight, did you not?" He hammered the shield with another titanic punch. "Where is that power now? Are too much of a coward to continue? FIGHT!" He raised his his fist into the air once more, focusing all of his hatred and blood lust into it, preparing for another blow. "FIGHT!"

Makoa lunged forward with his ethereal blade as Deco's fist smashed through his barrier, connecting with it with such force it caused the ground around them to sink in. Simultaneously, he lifted his incomplete hand which hand only just started to resemble skeletal fingers and focused his power into his next attack, energy swirling around them both, dirt, rocks, and vegetation lifting up into the air from the flux in energy, the whole worlding seemingly drawn into them, into their battle. Just before Makoa released his next blast he chided to Deco, "With this we both embrace oblivion"

Rage burned brightly in Lord Deco's eyes. Rage at having been so easily caught off his guard by such a ploy. He could neither dodge nor deflect the attack that was to come, not at this range. He Had only one option. "No..." He quickly gathered massive amounts of dark energy, channeling it up his arm and into his free hand. "Oblivion shall be yours alone!" With a bestial roar that shook the very earth itself, he thrust forward the energy that he had gathered. Less than a foot of space separated Makoa's skeletal appendage from Deco's monstrous claws. The entire landscape was bathed in an intense flash of light as the two attacks met at point blank range.

It had happened so fast that thought really had no time to process the actions that took place. It wasn't until after Makoa was rocketing through the air, body burning that he realized what had happened. The force of the blast pushing out of him and almost instantly being met with Deco's unbelievable counter obliterated his meekly regenerated arm. He was unsure about what had happened with Deco himself, remembering only the chilling raged etched into the seething dark shapes of his face and glowing eyes, crude mouth twisted in an inhuman snarl just before he was blinded by the burning explosion that hit his body so hard and so fast that it was only just now that he realized many ribs and his collarbone had broken. He was very high in the air, that much he good ggather from his disorientated stated, and also that a large plume of the explosion still hung in the air. He was behind a destructive shockwave that was reaking havoc on all in its path, leaving only the strongest, most deeprooted trees upright. He was now leaving the line of trees, a grassy field area was beneath him, he was about 2 miles into it before he began a rapid descent. Still a blazing ball of light, he slammed into the hard earth, the ground jutting up around him. The last thing he could see before his eyes rolled back into his head was a strange spring near him and a city far in the distance. Everything faded. Everything was gloriously dark again. Except for one little thing. DECO!!!!!!! He lived! Makoa knew it without doubt. And all at was he felt all his rage, his pain, the tormented state of his body, and it was all to much to bear. His power, having no allowance for such things, failed him then, his body collapsing and he lost consciousness, Sinking into a nightmarish gloom with the whole world Deco's domain, every turn and every thing was of him, inescapable horror, with that ungodly laugh and mocking tone ringing from all directions.

Lord Deco's body laid scattered across the area that had become there battlefield. He did not bother trying to reform his body just yet. Instead he reached out with his mind, searching for any signs of Makoa's eco signature... he found nothing. Could it be that he had truly rid himself of the vermin? With a great force of will, Deco began to bring together the shredded pieces of his being. It made for slow work. His mind still rang from the force of the explosion, making it hard for him to concentrate. At last, though, Deco stood in the midst of the clearing appearing no worse for wear than before the blast had ripped him apart. His jumbled mind finally began to clear... and that's when he felt it. The smallest hint of a white eco signature, barely there. Lord Deco whirled around to face the direction of the of the energy. "IMPOSSIBLE!" Bolts of darkness arched wildly from his body, rejuvenated by the sudden burst of rage. The signature felt as though it was a long way off. The blast must have thrown him through the air for miles. No human could have survived that... yet survived, Makoa had. A demonic roar ripped it's way from Lord Deco's throat. He was going to end this. His molecules suddenly burst outwards, once again taking on a gaseous form. The mist hung still in the air for only a moment before it lashed forward with inhuman speed, blazing unhindered through the forest like a wraith, in the direction of his victim.

Several hours had passed as Makoa laid there, mending amidst his feverish nightmares, feeding off the pool near him, which it had turned out was teeming with eco energy, probably runnoff from and underground esturary passing through an eco deposit. Healed for the most part, he arose to the sense of impending danger. In the distance the sky darkened, large clouds of smoke and dust raising in a whirlwind fashion. It wasn't long before the swift moving cause of this was apparent: A vortex of dark eco, bolts of energy flashing and burning the surroundings. Unbelievable, his power is astounding thought Makoa. Wanting to start this next onslaught with the offensive, He summoned forth his newly rekindled power, rising just barely above the ground. His eyes glowing white once more, energy begining to spark around him once more, he lifted his perfectly healed hand, quietly appreciating his white eco's powerful nature, and then all was momentarily silent, his glow faded, his eyes went dark... VWOOM... came the first blast, VWOOM... VWOOM... again and again, blazing volleys of death in a phlanax to meet Deco, the inhuman life, the monster.

The whirlwind twisted and compressed itself, shifting into a human form while still in mid-air. Dark energy gathered around Lord Deco as he landed, clawed hands crossed in front of his chest. A barrier of dark eco rose protectively around him just as Makoa's deadly blasts were about to make their mark. The very earth trembled with the force of the impacts as the shield was hammered mercilessly by Makoa's assault. The air seemed to suddenly grow heavier than it had been. The sky became noticeably darker. Then, low at first but steadily growing in volume, came the cold sound of Lord Deco's laughter. Bolts of energy began to lance angrily from the barrier. "Death awaits you!" With that the shield suddenly burst outwards, becoming an omni-directional wave of destruction. It met Makoa's blasts head on, engulfing them with it's sheer power. It tore unhindered across the field with only one purpose... the complete annihilation of Makoa.

Hands blazing, Makoa faded to a blur as he rushed forward to meet the wave of destruction, stopping just before it and slashing downward from above his head, cutting into the wall of energy with explosive force, earth rising up in bits as the wave passed him, the force of it crushing against him, making him momentarily immobile. His body sagging for an instant, standing in a deep rut surrounded by charred land in all directions, he recovered his shaken senses and faded once more, closing a third of the distance between himself and Deco. Stopping to send volleys of energy at his opponent, Makoa shot across the battle field in spratic movements, moving closer and closer to his goal. Maybe he could catch him of guard, do something unexpected. Maybe.
