Holy balls. I was doing some research, and turns out that the PS3 is fully capable of supporting a PC operating system. If I was to get an external hard drive (which isn't required for this procedure, but I'd perfer it) I could have one of the most badass stand alone computers to date. I'm mean, come on, the thing has such an advanced processor (does 3 TRILLION calculations per second!) Man, this is kinda of daunting, really. I think I should call Geek Squad when I get home today. There's no way I can handle this process on my own with my little technical knowledge. I am continually impressed by this magnificant machine. I'm sorry to all of you who only own Xbox's. Those poor, glitchy little machines. Were already starting to see the gap between to two's graphics capabilities in games like Devil May Cry 4. Soon there will be far to much info on a PS3 game for Xbox to even make a lower quality version of it. Bottom line: PS3=BADASSNESS!

LMAO, I keep telling people that if they just give the PS3 a chance they'll find that it's actually pretty cool. I wish I could afford one myself, I'd love to get a 60 gig. If you sign up for Folding@Home: Team 55265 you can put that 3 trillion calculations/sec to use folding proteins to look for potential cures for cancer. BTW I would suggest avoiding Geek Squad, they aren't as good as everyone says. The technical services for my mom's company fires people if they can't meat a curtain standard, Geek Squad has employed these same people. Basically much of Geek Squad are tech rejects.

Hey, another PS3 owner on the forums. Welcome to the actual good side of next-gen gaming. ;D Yeah, if you get the chance, join the Folding@Home team 55265 and put that processor to some good use. Some people just don't understand the capabilities of the PS3, from gaming, to helping out a good cause. @ DVM, I'm telling you, if you ever get the sapre $399-$599, try and get a PS3. I hear Sony might be releasing a new PS3 bundle soon.

I wish. I hardly have $20 to spare on food, let alone $400 + on a PS3. Sadly the wallet of a college student just has one huge hole in it known as "Fees" and I can tell you, fees suck.

Yeah, I tried saving up for over a year to get one, but luckily my tax return was big this year. I'll definately check out that site once I get internet at home. About that same time is when I plan to transform that beast into a computer. Hopefully all that will be done by next paycheck. For now I'm happy just playing the Hell out of Oblivion, Devil May Cry 4, and Resistance.

Well, when you get a cable or DSL internet connection at your house, make a PSN account. Maybe we could add each other to our friends. And Resistance has to be one of the best PS3 games to date, even though it was a launch title. The online for Resistance is just amazing. Insomniac has added so many features to that game. I can't wait for the release of Resistance 2 in Fall @dvm, I can't imagine how much trouble it is to save money during college, with all the books to buy, dorm rent (if you have one), monthly fees, etc. My sister's boyfriend who joined the National Guard, who is back now from basic (Thank God), finally got some of his money from the Guard. He is still struggling in paying for college even thoough he has that money the Guard gave him. I can't imagine the stress.

I would die but luckily i have my mamaw. She has been saving money for my college fund the day i was born (go mamaw).
PS3 rocks even though the few games i have dont have online capabilities but if R&CFTOD did i would rock. I also now have a chance to play the third and fourth games online now since i have the connection to the internet.

got internet at home just yesterday, and i was sooooo stoked to hook my PS3 to it, but for some reason it wouldn't friggin work!!!! I've got everything it says i need, the internet works fine, tried it on my buddy's laptop, but for some reason it just won't work, and i did as the manual instructed. It took all of my inner strength not to revert to my caveman ways of striking electronic objects when they don't work the way i want them. I could never do that to my sleek sexy PS3. But it sure pissed me off last night. And for some reason I couldn't get on here either. got on my site just fine, but it just wouldn't go to Gold&Fury. Frickin technology...
