"Well, seems to me it's time we get started." Vermillion said smiling. "I think that it might be time I see you give the 'infection' a try." She walked over to the Metalhead and stared at him. Their eyes met and he screeched as though demanding freedom. "Stupid creature," She muttered. she stared at Deco for a moment. "So, I'm all for increasing the specimen variety, but what will these be used for?"

Lord Deco looked down at the girl with amusement. "Don't you see, little one? Kangarats alone may get the job done, but the process will be slow. With two sources of infection our goals will be realized before any counter measures may be taken against us. Besides, there is nothing unusual about a metal-head attack is there? They happen all of the time. Nobody will be the wiser." He took a step towards the door. "Now, let us begin." With a laugh he allowed his body to melt into the cracks of the cell door and reform on the other side. The metal-head leapt back in surprise but recovered quickly. It let loose a blood curdling shriek and sprang towards Deco with claws flashing and murder in it's eyes. Then, almost too fast for the eye to follow, Lord Deco lashed out with his right hand. As he moved, the appendage morphed itself into what appeared to be a long blade. The metal-head, bieng taken by surprise, could do nothing as the blade shot through it's throat and imbedded itself in the metal wall behind the creature. It's tail thrashed about weakly as it clutched the blade that now held it impaled in midair. Lord Deco's eyes glowed with sadistic amusement. "Now!"

Vermillion smiled. He was smarter than she had realized. She pulled green eco together and let it form, as the metal head died she let the eco in and the green flowed through the body, making minor repairs and such. "Now, I'll leave the dark eco to you. I'm sure I don't have to explain to you what to do."

"I believe I can handle it." Lord Deco replied dryly. He then allowed some of his dark eco to flow into the now lifeless creatures body. The corpse gave a sudden violent jerk as the dark and green ecos contacted and merged within it. The metal-heads yellow skull gem began to shift to a dark, ominous purple. Satisfied, Deco retracted his bladed hand and allowed the creature to fall unceremoniously to the floor with a resounding thump. After a few moments, the newly reanimated metal-head slowly rose to it's feet. It stood upright in a manner very uncharacteristic for it's kind as Lord Deco willed it to make a few experimental motions. A low, menacing laugh filled the laboratory. Dark bolts of energy lashed out here and there within the confines of the cell. "Excellent." The steel walls shook from the energy contained in Deco's voice. "It is now only a matter of time until the world bows before us."

Vermillion watched adn smiled, even letting a giggle escape from her lips. She was happy now that things were starting to move along. Things had been dragging her around lately and now she was finally getting back up with the help of Deco, not that she would probably ever tell him. "So, this is what we have huh? I'm very happy and very excited." She walked into the cell and close to the metal head. She examined him. Noting where things needed to be improved and what parts would seperate him from being a normal Metalhead. "Outside of the gem's color, nothing seems strange. I'm sure you'll make the attitude more in its nature once you have the hang of things." Vermillion thought a moment, then looked at Deco. "They'll probably think this is a plague and blame the metalheads. With that being the case, we'll have a good cover, not to mention that we'll be able to go around freely without suspicion. We ca--" Vermillion's words were interrupted. In her periphrial vision she could see something wrong, something very wrong. There was a window, it was old and dusty and was shattered and peices were on the ground. Nothing unusual it seemed. But the glass wasn't covered in dust like some of the other things on the ground. "Deco, if I'm not mistaken you went out and caught that metal head... it didn't attack you here right? Because if that's the case, I think somethings here."

Lord Deco's eyes narrowed as he inclined his head slightly. Energy flashed around his body in frustration. "Strange, I can feel no eco signatures in the area." he paused, thinking to himself. "But you are correct, little one. We are not alone." Slowly, Deco closed his eyes and lowered himself into a kneeling position. Tendrils of darkness began snaking out from his figure across the ground. They spread, searching the large room for signs of the unseen intruder. Moments passed. All was silent. Then in the blink of an eye the tendrils had retracted and Lord Deco was on his feet, arm extended outwards. "There!" He roared and let loose a high intensity blast of dark energy from his outstretched hand. The previously unseen shadow hardly had time to leap out of the way before the entire wall was incinerated by the force of the beam. Upon landing, however, the thing once again sprang high into the air... straight towards Vermillion.

"Awww s**t, It's a gunner!" Vermillion saw it heading for her and did the only thing she could think off, pull out her gun and shoot. The metal head shot back but the bullet ripped through the shoulder that held a staff adn it fell to the ground. Vermillion felt a sting as the blast of eco that the Gunner had let out hit her in the chest. She flew back and managed to catch herself with her wings. The gunner wasn't down, instead he was just very, very angry. He hissed and screeched, and said something; something understandable...Vermillion was confused but she had heard it. " Nothing beautiful will grow here!" it was a screech and yet she knew, and she was sure Deco had heard the same thing. "Deco, I think we need to detain this thing and quick, it's starting to get out of hand." It was true, the gunner had yanked the staff out of the inanimate hand and began to shoot with the other. It was shooting at them but also at other things. The tables full of chemicals, the boxes full of unused supplies and at the cages that she couldn't afford to have damaged. She grabbed a text covered bullet and loaded it as she hid in cover, hoping Deco was helping to handle the creature.

The metal-head was leveling it's staff for another shot when a sudden blast of dark eco caught it squarely in the face. The force of the attack sent the creature hurdling through the air to slam into a shelf full of empty beakers. It raised it's staff weakly from the wreckage and returned fire at the one who had attacked him. Lord Deco only laughed as he strode forward, the assault doing nothing to slow his progress. He reached forward a tendril to wrap around the metal-heads neck as another ripped the staff from it's feeble grasp. Deco lifted the creature to eye level. "It was very foolish of you to attack us." he said menacingly "Now you will die slowly for your ignorance." He tightened his grip on the metal-heads throat and began sending dark energy through the tendril to surge painfully into the it's body. It's shrieks of agony only served to widen Deco's smile. "Now, before I end your miserable life, explain to me what you said a moment ago." The metal-head, however, did not speak again. The grin began to fade. "I said explain... NOW!" He lifted the creature high into the air before slamming it down by it's throat back into the rubble. This was greeted with yet more silence. "Fine, see what you can do with this thing." With that, Deco casually tossed the crippled metal head over his shoulder to land at Vermillion's feet.

Vermillion stared at the creature and kicked at it. "It's out like a light...That or dead... what the hell happened? and why in the great heavens would something come over here?" She sighed and turned. "What do you make of this?"

"I don't know. It didn't act like any metal head I have ever encountered." He did not face Vermillion as he answered. His eyes were instead locked on the hole that he had blasted in the wall when he had first spotted the metal-head. Something was not right. It was almost as if something were drawing him to that spot. Slowly, Lord Deco strode towards the opening and glanced inside. "These experiments are nothing but twisted! How could you even call yourself a scientist!?" "How dare you question my methods, you insubordinate whelp!? Am I to halt my research simply because an underling decides to throw a tantrum!? You simply cannot understand the significance of the experimentation!" Energy flashed about the room as Deco fought with all of his might to beat back the sudden onslaught of voices. Tendrils lashed about the room uncontrollably as the memories bombarded his consciousness. Finally, they began to fade their way back into oblivion. Shaken, Lord Deco raised his head to look again at the rooms morbid contents. It seemed to be a storage room of some sort. What really caught his eye, however, was that it was filled almost to the brim with what appeared to be human bones. He stood motionless, eyes glowing brightly with a sudden rage that he could not quite understand.
