Vermillion was reading. This afternoon it was a book on the History of Evolution Vs. Creationism. Yesterday she had read The Invisible Man. the day before, Life and Thereafter. she checked her watch, it was two-thirty. Why was he not here yet? She thought the invitation had been a nice one, at least informative enough to keep his interest, and directions to her home were simple, just keep walking. she sighed and went back to her book.

A dark liquid began to suddenly seep between the floorboards and into the room. Out of the newly formed puddle, a figure rose until it stood at a menacing seven feet and three inches in height. It's eyes narrowed as they came to rest upon the small girl. "How dare you summon me in such a manner!" His voice threatening to shake the house apart. I am a god!" Energy danced around his figure as if in testimony to his rage. "Do you think this to be a joke? I could kill you now for your impudence." A tendril of dark eco formed from Lord Deco's left shoulder and extended slowly towards Vermillion until it hovered a mere inch from her face. "Well, speak." he said with a malicious grin.

The entrance was impressive, and the seven feet made her have to look up, but he only made her smile. "Calm yourself; I'm only here to make you an offer and to ask you a question." She stared at him seriously, her eyes making out the shape and softly pushing down the tendril. "Now, have you ever found any interest in the un-dead?"

Lord Deco simply stared for a few moments. Surely she must be joking. "Do you mean to tell me that you summoned me here only to speak of childish nonsence." he said, now trembling with the effort to contain his rage. "I haven't the time or the patience for your humor, little one, now tell me the real reason for my presence or I shall be forced to tear out your spine!" He simply could not believe the audacity of the girl before him.

Vermillion closed her book and stood up. She took a sip of her tea, staring him over. "Let me clear a few things up for you. One, I'm not a child, I'm older than you and many others. Two, I'm not speaking of childish nonsence, and three, what do you really have to do that's so important? After all, if you were so busy, or you weren't at all the least but curious, you would have never shown up. "now, let me put it to you this way. You want power, you want to be a God, but you have to deal with all of the little people in your way before you can get to the big people you want. What if you have the power to have something not only take care of the little people while you go straight for the big people, but you'll have a continuously growing army. and the only thing necesary is a bit of dark eco."

Lord Deco's anger began to slowly subside. Vermillion was right, after all. He had come because he was curious to hear what she had been so anxious to speak with him about. He had learned well in the short time that they had known each other that trapped within this shell of a small girl that stood before him lay a mind possibly more twisted than his own. "Very well then little one." he said evenly as the dark energy that swirled around his figure started to dissapate. "Tell me how I might gain a power such as the one you speak of."

She poured him a cup of tea and beckoned him to have a seat. She went to a room where there were two small kangarats. one was alive, one was slightly on the dead side. She put green eco into the dead one. "You take a dead creature, and put some green eco on it, the eco begins to fix and put the body back together, practically stitching itself up. You then add dark eco, with the dark. eco, it will return to animation, and yet will also have a twisted mindset, following orders of the one who put the dark eco into it." She looked satisfied and added dark eco. The kangarat that was motionless began to twitch and within moments was up and moving around. It was an odd movement however, as though it wasn't sure what to do, and seemed to stumble and bumble in it's movement, but then Vermillion smiled and nodded to herself, and the altered dead was attacking the other kangarat. The struggle was only a few moments, though the live one could fight back, the dead one couldn't feel anything to hinder its progress. Vermillion glanced at Deco, a grin on her face. "It only gets better. The dark eco is like a virus. Once the person attacked is dead. They rise as well." And, as she spoke, the second one began to twitch and soon two dead creatures were messing with each other, starring sniffing, and scratching.

His eyes followed the small girl with extreme interest. If what she had just showed him could be believed, then he would be next to unstoppable. An evil grin spread across his features. "And where exactly do you intend to find such vast quantities of dark eco?" he asked already knowing the answer. "If we use my eco then it may be possible to multiply the extent of our control even further." He took a step towards her, still ignoring the tea that he could not actually drink. "I do love the way you think little butterfly." Energy began to pulse around him once more, not in anger this time, but in sadistic anticipation of the bloodshed and chaos that would soon fall upon an unsespecting world. He could almost hear the screams. A maniacle fit of laughter filled the room at these wonderful thoughts.

The fact he responded so well made her smile. "You know the answer. The great thing is, It's so subtle, people will think that is' some plague come to attack like something from the past did. All we have to do is find an initial host, like kangarats, or just any vermin, and let them slip into the cities to infect the homeless and the weak, then they become the strong and turn others." She finished her tea and looked at the two creatures, she lit a match and tossed it in. It hit a kangarat and it yelped, catching fire, soon the cage that held them were consumed and she turned away, the two now burnt crispy. "You see, these are your classic zombies, with the exception that so long as one controls them, they won't stop moving, until told to." Vermillion nodded in the direction of the rats, though they were on the end of fire, they still stood and were now doing what looked like a dance. "I have more, but you see, it you are to destroy, which I'm okay with, so long as we keep some areas as a headquarters, but after, a new beginning will need to be made. This, is where I'm curious. If you and I work together and we can succeed, then what will we do? I"m not all for repopulating, and I don't know if you are even capable of such a thing...egh...cooties...i mean..oh crap...Well either way...what I'm thinking is if we make what could be a small haven, train some weak willed people, and then repopulate with them....erasing the past and recreating a future...." Vermillion grew silent. She had been thinking about this for a long time. the idea that the world would be gone of everyone she knew and who know her, it would be like starting again with a clean slate, only now, she and this Deco would be writing on that slate.

Lord Deco looked down at her small figure again. "No I am not capable." he said dryly "nor do I have any interest in doing anything of the sort." He glared at her to get his point across and then changed the subject. "In this new world order I shall be worshipped as a god. All shall bow before my might!" Another psycotic fit of laughter escaped him but stopped when he realized that Vermillion seemed to be deep in her own thoughts. "And what is it that you shall do with our new world, little one. What will you shape it to be?" Her silence uneased even him. It was was not unlike her to think quietly to herself, but he felt as though something was troubling her. Lord Deco was never really one that excelled at making people feel better. He strode over to where the burning kangarats were, examining them intently and wondering to himself how she had ever come up with such an amazing and deliciously destructive plan. He turned once again to face the girl, still expecting an answer.
